  • Volunteers (3 or more hrs/mo) to participate in gardening and local foods projects.

Email  yardsprout {at} gmail dot. com for application or other information.  We’re open to college students, community members, and exceptional high school students from around the Triangle.

Based in Chapel Hill, YardSprout is building a website and service platform to help expand the business opportunities for expert gardeners, urban farmers, edible landscapers, bee-keepers, chicken-coop installers, and others skilled in local food production.  Our brand will help a wider range of people, businesses and organizations convert underutilized non-productive yards into food producing, sustainably used land, whether residential yards, school yards, campus property, business land, unused real estate parcels, and more.

For lead interns or other students interested in joining YardSprout’s Launching the Venture team, please visit  http://www.launch.unc.edu/  and forward your application to yardsprout {at} gmail dot. com – we can still add you to our team though the official deadline has passed.  The course is Monday evenings starting on Aug 22nd.
